The design of the pavilion for Shanghai World Expo 2010 B2 and C1 stems from the desire to restore and enhance the existing industrial buildings, creating a new wall covering that is a contemporary Italian novelty recovering the tradition of Coccio Pesto. The building is completely covered by large panels measuring 120x120 cm Cottostone perforated with waterjet machines to create designs that are inspired by Vietri ceramics.
The studio MoA has realized a balanced design of the facade combining four decoration designs in alternating of solids and voids.
